Journey of ABVP student from Telangana’s Naxal effected tribal hamlet to JNU campus to challenge the Communists

Delhi. In the heart of united Andhra Pradesh, a shadow of terror loomed over the villages of upper Telangana for four decades, all under the guise of progressive ideology championed by communist leaders. Among the countless victims of this Left Wing Extremism (LWE) was a young boy, Umesh Chandra Ajmeera, from the Bhupalapally region, forever altered by the brutal impact of communist ideology.
His story begins with the tragic loss of his father at peda thoondla thanda, a brave soul who dared to question the deceitful tactics and activism of the Naxalites. As a result of his outspokenness, he fell victim to their violence, leaving behind a shattered family. His mother too died within a few days, leaving the young boy  to grow up with his relatives. The young boy Umesh, fueled by grief and a determination to seek justice, found himself at the forefront of a battle against the very forces that tore his family apart.
Not only did he lose his father at a young age, but he also witnessed intentional attacks against villagers, tribals, and Dalits in Telangana and across the country. Many people were eliminated due to brainwashed informers at the villagers not knowing the damage and social consequences. Several LWE organizations carried out crimes against female activists affiliated with them.  He tracked these developments around the country and recognized the pattern of their hateful goal against Bharat and its fundamental principles.
Driven by the memory of his father and the injustice suffered by his countrymen, the young student Umesh made his way to JNU, viewing it as a bastion of the very ideologies he sought to challenge. Rising through the ranks of ABVP, he refused to be intimidated by the leftist and Dalit organizations that sought to silence dissent.
As he prepares to contest for the position of president at the prestigious Jawaharlal University student union elections, his commitment to questioning the communist movement has become loud and strong. His goal is clear: to start an initiative that challenges the entire narrative perpetuated by communist organizations, regardless of the obstacles he may face.
In his quest for justice, he sheds light on the atrocities committed against Dalits and tribals across the country, underscoring the urgent need for change within the political and social landscape. With unwavering determination, he narrates the stories of those who have suffered at the hands of communist violence.
Now is the moment for solidarity and action. We have an opportunity to rally behind Umesh Chandra Ajmeera, a voice of courage and resilience in our campus community. His presence echoes the call for a united front against the forces of anti-nationalism and communism that seek to divide and undermine our national and Bharatiya values.
Umesh's journey is not just his own; it is a testament to the power of perseverance and the unwavering commitment to justice. He has faced unimaginable loss and adversity, yet he stands undeterred, ready to challenge the status quo and fight for a better discourse for all particularly to student community at JNU.
As students, we must support leaders like Umesh who dare to speak truth to power and advocate for the principles of Bharat and its unity. By standing with him, we strengthen our collective voice and send a clear message that we will not tolerate the oppression and injustice perpetuated by anti-national and communist forces.
Let us join hands, raise our voices, and stand in solidarity with Umesh Chandra Ajmeera. Together, we can create a campus environment that is inclusive, just, and conducive to learning and growth for all.
